Gene Upshaw Players Assistance Trust – Financial Grants


The Professional Athletes Foundation created the Gene Upshaw Player Assistance Trust Fund (GU PAT) to provide financial support any former NFL player or his immediate family in times of financial crisis. Financial grants cannot exceed a total of $20,000, and are awarded to players who express need.
